美國(guó)國(guó)防部高等研究計(jì)劃署(DRAPA)將在7月11日公布其“機(jī)器人競(jìng)賽(Robotic Challenge,DRC)”的第一階段優(yōu)勝者,有數(shù)支隊(duì)伍(其中7隊(duì)是由DRAPA所贊助、還有另外7隊(duì)是獨(dú)立贊助者)目前正以各自獨(dú)特的搜救機(jī)器人設(shè)計(jì)相互角逐。
DRC的優(yōu)勝者將繼續(xù)與DRAPA另一項(xiàng)“虛擬機(jī)器人挑戰(zhàn)賽(VRC)”的6支優(yōu)勝隊(duì)伍一爭(zhēng)高下──那些VRC優(yōu)勝者將獲得Boston Dynamics所開發(fā)的Atlas機(jī)器人(下圖),并將各自的算法上傳到機(jī)器人內(nèi),在下一個(gè)階段的DRC與上述的搜救機(jī)器人優(yōu)勝者在真實(shí)世界的任務(wù)場(chǎng)景進(jìn)行比賽。

Slideshow: Rival Robot Styles Compete

The Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) will announce on July 11 the winners of the first phase of its Robotic Challenge, where several teams (seven DARPA funded and seven independently funded) are currently competing with their unique search and rescue robot designs. The winners will compete against six teams just awarded a free Atlas robot in DARPA's Virtual Robotics Challenge (VRC).
The six winners in the VRC were awarded an Atlas robot by Boston Dynamics, to which they will upload their algorithms for the next-phase DRC competition where they will compete with the winners of the unique rescue robots. The first slide below is Atlas by Boston Dynamics, against which the other seven designs will compete (photos were only available of the seven DARPA funded teams' robots).
DARPA-funded robots of all different styles will join the Robotic Challenge fray for the real-world phase. Now that the Virtual Robotics Challenge (VRC) has taken place, those winners of each use the DARPA supplied Atlas robot (pictured).

Drexel University's Hubo robot uses treads for feet and is aimed at creating an open architecture that is easy for collaborators to leverage.
Jet Propulsion Lab, RoboSimian is the only four-legged robot, although they are dexterous to be called hands as well. Using three legs to brace itself, the fourth leg is free to handle tools.
